Poll: 92% of respondents see rising gas prices as a ‘serious’ problem in Biden’s America

A few months before the midterms, President Biden, a large number of voters said rising gas prices are a “serious” problem in America, according to a Rasmussen Reports poll released Tuesday.

The increase in gas prices drew attention seen This is a leading voter issue leading to midterm elections, which is not good for President Biden and the Democrats who continue to deviate by constantly blaming others for the country’s current state of affairs.

For example, in April, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) attributed the rise in gas prices to Russia’s “brutal, unpleasant, ruthless invasion of Ukraine without provocation”.

He said this “caused prices to rise at gas stations” and eventually accused the big oil companies of “market manipulation and price duplication”. Speaking at the same press conference, 82-year-old Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi also pleaded not guilty.

“Number. I don’t think the public is blaming the Democrats [for rising gas prices]”said. “I think they blame the oil companies. If we don’t do something about the fossil fuel industry, they will blame us all.”

Energy Minister Jennifer Granholm made a similar statement in May, telling US lawmakers “that they can thank Vladimir Putin for what he’s done for his invasion of Ukraine.”

But the Democrats only agreed with their leaders, because President Biden himself refused to take responsibility, often blaming Putin for raising prices, even calling it “Putin’s gas tax.”

Americans are extremely worried about this.

“How serious is the problem of rising fuel prices, heating oil and other petroleum products?” According to the survey, 92 percent described the problem as “serious.” Of those, 68 percent said it was “very” serious. Most Republicans, Democrats, and independents agree with him.

Democrats ignored the reality of the situation, as Biden attacked America’s energy independence from day one, beginning with the cancellation of the Keystone pipeline, its rejoining in the Paris Climate Agreement, and the eventual suspension of leasing programs. As Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) pointed out, gas prices were rising significantly before the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

However, Americans do not seem to believe the administration’s statements, and only 11 percent accuse Putin of raising gas prices.

According to the poll, one in five Democrats blames Putin, but only nine percent of independents and four percent of Republicans think alike.

Altogether, the majority – 52 percent – accused Biden of raising gas prices. Both views are supported by 80% of Republicans, 54% of Independents and 24% of Democrats. Another 29 percent blame the big oil companies.

Voting took place on 16 and 19 June 2022 with 1,000 possible voters, with a margin of error of +/- 3 percent.

Biden is expected to announce his support for the quarterly tax cut on Wednesday.
