Inflation. CTT helps pay workers who earn up to 2,500 euros

CTT – Correios de Portugal announced this Monday that they will pay this month “extraordinary compensationto its workers who receive a salary of up to 2,500 euros, to face the growing inflation. The value is not disclosed on the statement and the company does not disclose it. Eco advances that the value will be 200 euros.

“CTT – Correios de Portugal, aware of the unexpected impact of the increase in inflation and the cost of energy on the family budget, decided to pay a extraordinary compensationexceptionally, to workers with a base salary of up to 2,500 euros inclusive, included in the salary processing for the month of December ”, can be read in a statement.

The company, which employs 12,015 people in Portugal, does not disclose how many workers will be covered or the amount of support.

According to the note, in 2021, the CTT obtained an operating result of 848 million euros and a net result of 38.4 million euros.
