The National Union of Civil Aviation Flight Personnel (SNPVAC) decided this Monday, in an extraordinary general assembly, to call off the TAP crew strike that was scheduled to start this Wednesday, January 25, and that would last until January 31.
The agreement reached between the union and the administration was accepted by the members of the SNPVAC, which, however, already leaves the threat that compliance with the agreement will be followed to the millimeter and, if it fails, the fight will return to the charge. the land. It is also indicated since it is a contract that will be in force until December 31, 2024 or until an earlier moment, if the new Partnership Contract is agreed. The temporary emergency agreement is currently in force, after the termination of the previous agreement due to the financial rescue situation of the company.
Now, and after the strike notice was delivered, the crew would go on a seven-day strike, which TAP estimated at a direct cost of 48 million euros, due to the cancellation of 1,300 flights.
