SINTTAV announced this Thursday the call for a strike for contact center workers for March 18, demanding an increase in wages and pensions.
In a statement, the National Union of Telecommunications and Audiovisual Workers (SINTTAV) details that The strike will begin at 00:00 on March 18 and end at 01:00 on March 19.
The union explains that the national demonstration will take place in Lisbon, with a prior concentration in Saldanha/Picoas.
“The CGTP, as always, is with the workers in the fight that is necessary, assuming the organization of a Demonstration which is expected to be the largest in recent times, with the slogan “Everyone to Lisbon! General increase in wages and pensions — national emergency”it means.
The inter-union demands an increase in salaries and pensions “immediately” by at least 10% or a minimum of 100 euros for all workers, as well as setting maximum limits on the prices of essential goods and services and extraordinary taxation ” on employees”, the colossal profits of large companies”, he explains.
He stresses that “among the main demands is still the valorization of careers and professions, the setting of 850 euros for the National Minimum Wagewith reference to January 2023, 35-hour work week for all workers and the repeal of “onerous labor law regulations”.
