TAP’s legal consultant informed the CEO that it could be the State that dismissed Alexandra Reis

TAP’s lawyer in the negotiation that led to an agreement for the departure of Alexandra Reis told CEO Christine Ourmières-Widener that one of the possible legal options was to reject the initial compensation proposal, without submitting a counterproposal and asking her to Review the terms of the proposal. Otherwise, the next step would be the unilateral termination of the link through a decision of the shareholder -the State- that would remove it from its role as a member of the administration.

This was one of the three options communicated by the SRS lawyer who advised TAP in this process when Alexandra Reis made her initial proposal in which she claimed amounts close to 1.5 million euros to leave the company, an amount that César Sá Esteves recognizes as “economically and politically unacceptable.” She then said: “We have to decide how we are going to do it.” This expression appears in one of the emails that are part of the annexes to the audit report of the General Inspectorate of Finance, sent by César Sá Esteves, SRS lawyer, to Christine.
