It is known that cats have a special love for cardboard boxes, whether to scratch, bite or simply sleep inside. In Galena’s case, this fascination led her to mistakenly stay inside one for six days.
The six year old cat was discovered inside an Amazon package after having traveled 1,600 kilometers, from Riverside, in the US state of Utah, where he lives with his guardians, to Los Angeles, California. For almost a week, Galena survived without food or water until she was found by an employee of the North American company, who then took her to the veterinarian.

“Galeana loves boxes, it’s part of her personality,” Carrie Clark revealed to KSL TV, quoted by the BBC, adding that she couldn’t believe it when she found out that the cat had been found. “At first I didn’t believe him.
