This year the construction of a park for Chinese companies in Oeiras begins

Construction of the Oeiras business park will begin at the end of the year and should mainly host Chinese companies, according to the president of the Oeiras Valley Investment Agency (OVIA), who also announced new collaborations between the two countries.

At the end of this year, construction will begin on an 18-building business and housing park in Oeiras, in the municipality of Oeiras, in a partnership between the largest Chinese construction company, called China Construction, and Teixeira Duarte. And in principle, when this park is finished, which will probably take two or three years, it will be, above all, for welcome chinese companies who want to come here,” explained António Martins da Cruz.

On the sidelines of a conference on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Portugal and the 25th anniversary of Macau’s return to China, in Lisbon, the official also reported that after a trade mission at the end of March in China, organized by OVIA, “a Shenzhen company has already signed a collaboration protocol with a Portuguese company specialized in digitalization.”

The president of OVIA also mentioned that the company CALB, which designs a battery factory for Sinesshould locate its offices in Oeiras, adding that it was contacted by two other Chinese companies, which operate mainly in the “innovation and technology” sectors, to establish themselves in the municipality.
