Pop singer Lana Del Rey has received a temporary restraining order (TRO) against a stalker she alleged stole her car in the latest crime case to end the Democrat-controlled city of Los Angeles.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, a Los Angeles County judge granted Del Rey protection from his alleged stalker, Eric Everardo, who he said had visited his home at least twice and even stolen his car.
Del Rey said he first visited Everardo’s home without permission in February, and was subsequently charged with charges of stealing one of his cars, a Jaguar.
After that, however, Everardo allegedly returned to Del Rey’s home last month and left a briefcase containing a disturbing letter on his doorstep. The singer said in the note that the man expressed that he wanted to see her again.
Del Rey added that Everardo wrote to his brother several times between February and July. It is unclear how he got his number. The pop singer said he did not know Everardo and was concerned for the safety of both him and his family members.

A hearing in the case is reportedly scheduled for next month. Meanwhile, Everardo was ordered to stay at least 100 meters away from Del Rey and his brothers and was unable to contact them.
The singer’s encounter with her supposed stalker is just one of the latest examples of crimes that are rampant in Los Angeles and even affect celebrities.
This month, a 23-year-old man was arrested after hiding outside rapper Drake’s new home in Los Angeles. The attacker told police that the 35-year-old rapper was his father.
Last month, actor Casey Affleck’s girlfriend, actress Kaylee Cowan, was alone at her Los Angeles home at around 3:00 am and found an intruder staring at her in her bed.
In February, a man was arrested after an attack white lotus and Baywatch star Alexandra Daddario’s house with a loaded gun. The bandit went to the actress’s house, where he stood outside and shouted.

That same month, model and tattoo icon Kat Von D’s home in Los Angeles was robbed by an intruder who said she wanted to use the bathroom. Also in February, rapper Kodak Black was shot in the leg outside a party hosted by singer Justin Bieber in Los Angeles.
In November, broadcaster and actor Terrence Jenkins, also known as Terrence Jay, narrowly escaped an attempted armed robbery at his home when he was shot by a gunman.
Los Angeles has been grappling with murders, violent crime and gun violence in recent months.
