Tribute show to Herminia Silva in Santa Casa Alfama

In this year’s edition, which takes place on September 29 and 30, the “biggest fado festival in the world celebrates Hermínia Silva, one of the greatest figures of Portuguese popular culture,” says the promoter Música no Coração .

The Santa Casa Alfama Festival takes place in the area that gives it its name, where several stages are spread out, which will host more than 40 concerts, “creating the feeling that fado can be played in any alley, alley or square… playing to the Portuguese soul, wandering through a neighborhood full of fado stories”.

In addition to the tribute show to the fado singer Hermínia Silva (1907-1993), who gave voice to songs such as “Fado da Sina”, “A Tendinha” or “A Rua Mais Lisboeta”, the first confirmations for this year’s line-up include “ the enormous Camané” and “the young Beatriz Felício y Geadas”.

The first confirmed names will perform on September 29 at the Palco Santa Casa, located in the Lisbon Cruise Terminal.

Tickets for Santa Casa Alfama, whose price increases as the festival dates approach, cost 32 euros (two-day pass) and 23 euros (day pass). These values ​​are valid until August 31.

Between September 1 and 28, prices increase to 40 euros (two-day pass) and 30 euros (daily pass), plus five euros on public holidays.
