Texas Democratic gubernatorial candidate Beto O’Rourke told MSNBC Prime Thursday that she believes there will be a “showdown” in the November midterm elections, led by voters responding to the gunfire.
O’Rourke said: “Election is to vote for people who reflect and represent your values. What I’m trying to say is that we often cut people off from other political parties. We say all Republicans are like this or all Democrats are like that. Just the people in Texas, including Republicans and Democrats. I say most of us want what’s right. Their values don’t reflect those in power who continue to ignore the carnage we see in our schools. And yes, it just so happens that the Democrats on the ballot now favor common sense gun laws.
