The parliamentary leader of Chega threatens the PS aide in Parliament with physical violence

The parliamentary leader of Chega, Pedro Pinto, threatened an advisor to the socialist parliamentary group with physical violence in the corridors of the Assembly of the Republic. The episode took place this Thursday, after a particularly tense afternoon, after the plenary debate on changes to the law of entry, permanence, exit and expulsion of foreigners from the national territory that even made the deputies of André Ventura’s party leave the full. in protest with the President of the Assembly of the Republic. East it was not the only tense episode involving Chega: that day, former adviser Manuel Matías also questioned one of the journalists who was at a press conference.

The incident with the PS assistant was witnessed by press advisers, deputies and other journalists who were, at that time, in the corridor between the door of the PS parliamentary group and one of the entrances to the plenary session of the Assembly of the Republic. The adviser of the socialist caucus, Nuno Saraiva, was in the corridor when he was approached by the deputy from Chega in a tone that several of the people who were looking classified as “threatening”, “intimidating” either “aggressive“.
