Chega celebrates fight with Santos Silva. PSD regrets

The head-on clash between Augusto Santos Silva and André Ventura is making the Social Democratic caucus uncomfortable. In the PSD it is commented that the President of the Assembly of the Republic is walking his own path and is trying to artificially demonize Chega to inflate his hypothetical presidential pretensions. Collaterally, it is Ventura that is growing and the PSD that is more fragile.

The next chapter of the telenovela is scheduled for this Friday between André Ventura and Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa. “Santos Silva’s position has already surpassed the PS’s strategy to deal with Chega and he already has a ulterior motive“, condemns in statements to the Observer one of the most experienced Social Democratic deputies in Parliament, referring to the possible career of the Socialist to the Belém Palace, in 2026 – an idea that Santos Silva not only did not reject, but even admitted as a hypothesis theory during an interview conducted the day Chega left Parliament.
