The president of the PSD, Luís Montenegro, considers that we live in “challenging times” and that Portugal “expects and needs a lot” from the Social Democrats and argues that it is time to “rekindle the flame and the soul of a new PPD”.
In a message addressed to militants about the Festa do Pontal and published on the PSD website, Luís Montenegro begins by saying that “It is with great joy” that he announces that “the Pontal Festival has returned”and invites activists to be present at this “rentrée” political initiative.
The Pontal Festival will take place again this year and is scheduled for August 14, at Calçadão de Quarteira. In the last two years, which were marked by the Covid-19 pandemic, this party did not take place.

The Pontal Festival took place for the first time in 1976, at the initiative of Francisco Sá Carneiro.
