PS accuses the PSD of “courting” a far-right party

The deputy general secretary of the PS, João Torres, accused the PSD this Saturday of “courting a party of the extreme right” by appealing to vote for the vice president of the Assembly of the Republic proposed by Chega.

“The PSD called to vote for a vice president of the Assembly of the Republic in an extreme right-wing party. (…) We cannot let it go unnoticed, because what we saw this week in the Assembly of the Republic was a procession from the PSD to a far-right party”, accused João Torres.

The deputy general secretary of the PS was speaking in Mangualde, at the end of the presentation ceremony of the Jorge Coelho Academy, recalling that this call to vote “has resulted in totally contradictory statements by the leader of that party and the social democratic leader, Dr.”

“It was very useful for all the Portuguese to understand what kind of strategy or alliance the PSD is trying to design, trying to design with a far-right party,” challenged João Torres.
