PAN wants to increase the maximum limit of interest deduction of housing loans

The sole deputy of the PAN proposes to increase the maximum limit of deduction of interest on housing loans to 445 euros, as a way of helping families to face the rise in rates.

In a bill that she submitted to parliament, the deputy of the People-Animals-Nature party wants parliament to increase the “maximum limit of interest deduction on housing loans from 296 euros to 445 euros, a value corresponding to the average value of dues”. .of mortgage loans in Portugal according to data from the INE— and proportional increase of the increased limits”.

This proposal provides for the granting of credit to young people between 18 and 35 years of age for the “acquisition, expansion, construction or execution of ordinary, extraordinary works of conservation or improvement of permanent housing; or for the acquisition of land and construction of a property intended for permanent housing”.

This regime would be financed from the General State Budget, would apply to loans of a maximum of 200,000 euros and would make it impossible to “dispose of or lease the assets acquired for five years, under penalty of the obligation to repay the amount of the bonuses. in meanwhile”. enjoyed more 20%”.
