Lusa’s administration and information department condemned this Saturday the abusive use of the service and the agency’s image in an article in the Chega party newspaper and analyzes “all the consequences” of this act.
The announcement is made in a joint communiqué of the Lusa information and management department, broadcast on the day of its publication, “using the agency’s logo and the expression ‘Por Agência Lusa'”, an article on the Consortium of Journalists in the that the journalists allege links to the extreme left are addressed, on the website of the newspaper do Chega, Folha Nacional.
“The Directorate of Administration and Information of Lusa was confronted today with the abusive use of the name and image of the agency in an article about the Consortium of Journalists published and published in the place from the newspaper Folha Nacional, from the Chega party, titled ‘The dangerous connections of the Consortium of Journalists,’” read an internal memo delivered to agency workers.
The authorship of the article “is attributed to Lusa, with the use of the agency’s logo and the expression “Por Agência Lusa”, which is false”, being, according to the company, “an absolutely reprehensible use by the Basta party of the service and image of Lusa”.
Given the situation, according to the statement, “the administration is analyzing all the consequences of the improper and abusive use of the service.”
