Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves has decided on his next destination between Barcelona and Manchester United ahead of the start of the summer transfer market.
Neves is one of the most prominent midfielders in the English Premier League and has been linked with the possibility of a move to Barcelona or Manchester United.
According to the Spanish newspaper Sport, Neves would rather go to Barcelona than Manchester United.
Neves wants to leave Wolverhampton and join a team that will compete in the Champions League next season, and this condition only applies to Barcelona, not Manchester United.
United finished sixth and qualified for the Europa League last season, so Neves ruled him out of their calculations entirely.
Barcelona coach Xavi gave management the opportunity to negotiate a deal with Neves, along with Real Sociedad player Martin Subimende, to bolster the midfield ahead of the start of the new season.
Neves’ deal could include players and that prompted Wolverhampton to approach Nico Gonzalez, but the Catalan club are hesitant about the young player’s departure.
