A New York Rangers fan has been accused of punching a Tampa Bay Lightning fan after Thursday’s playoff game, and the footage shows spectators staring in complete shock.
“Tampa scored two goals in the final five minutes to take a 3-2 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals, beating the Rangers 3-1 at Madison Square Garden,” NBC New York said on Friday.
Fans parted at the end of the game, and a Rangers fan was seen in a video released Thursday night. to blow Tampa fan on chin.
The man in the blue tank top fell to the ground and looked motionless as the others gathered around him. A man tried to wake her by touching her face.

“Safety! Liberation!” people shout as they turn to the man. “The person in the red shirt was the one who hit him,” said someone close to the camera.
Social media users commented on the video, someone writing“Crinkle it up. It’s goddamn hockey. It’s embarrassing to do that.
“As I was walking out, I saw them buy a red shirt after Rangers fans approached them. [sic] he was outside. I don’t understand why this is happening.” answered.
The New York City Police Department (NYPD) told NBC that the witness tried to arrest the suspect who punched him.
The ice situation between the Rangers and Lightning escalated after the final siren of the fifth game. Video footage shows team members pushing and pushing each other against walls.
At one point, two players punched as the referees tried to separate them:

Authorities later found and arrested Staten Island’s James Anastasio, NBC reported.
The man now faces two counts of assault, abuse of power and harassment, he added, adding that the victims refused medical attention after the initial incident.
“Madison Square Garden condemned what it called a ‘terrible attack’ and said Anastasio would be banned for life from all areas of MSG Entertainment,” the report said.
