Egypt coach Ehab Galal commented on the Pharaohs’ 4-1 loss to South Korea in a friendly match between the two sides on Tuesday.
The Egypt coach said at a press conference: “We didn’t have much difficulty in attack. The play of the trio of Ahmed Refaat, Mustafa Mohamed and Ahmed Hamdi was very good. They created problems for the defense of Korea, but we were too hasty in some attempts.”
He added, “The players put in a huge effort which is commendable, but the result does not reflect the number of opportunities. The South Korean team took the opportunity and was very successful scoring 4 goals out of 4 or 5 chances against Mohamed El Shennaoui.”
He continued: “The result does not reflect the course of the meeting or the number of opportunities. Often all of Korea’s chances were taken into account in goal, but the game is very good tactically and defensively. The goals are not the result of our feeling of fatigue, but the great success of Korea. We scored 3 goals after 4 crosses.”
Ihab Galal concluded his statement, “All Korean players are very special. Son’s influence is very important. He instills confidence in his colleagues and his abilities are different as he is the most outstanding player.”
