Henrikh Mkhitaryan said goodbye to Roma fans with a message after his contract with the Italian capital club expired and he moved to Inter Milan, whose inclusion was officially announced today.

Mkhitaryan, 33, tweeted: “I did my best for Roma on and off the pitch. It was an honor to play here and I will never forget the wonderful moments we had together. This club and city will forever remain in my heart. love you. Thanks Roma.”

The player thanked the head of the coaching staff, Mourinho, for the trust and interest shown to him, as well as for the extraordinary motives that he gave him as a player.

He added: “When I first wore this jersey, my goal was to make this club a winner and to please their wonderful fans, highlighting that the goal achieved in Tirana was the perfect end to my three years at the Giallorossi.

He concluded by saying, “It’s time to say goodbye. I would like to thank everyone at the club for the special relationship they have built together over the years.

Notably, Mkhitaryan joined Roma in 2019 on loan from Arsenal before the club bought him in 2020 to play for him until his contract expired on 30 June.
