Kyler Murray Pops ‘Disrespectful’ Questions About Work Ethics After Announcing ‘Homework’ Incentives

Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is blasting critics who question his work ethic after reports that his new contract requires him to complete four hours of game work per week, and that he wouldn’t otherwise.

At a press conference on Thursday, Murray slammed the questions.

According to CBS Sports, Murray said, “I feel the need to talk (talk), what’s going on about me, and what’s being said about me.” “It’s almost disrespectful and almost a joke to think that I can do everything I’ve done in my career and not be a student of the game and not have passion and take it seriously.”

He added that there was no way he could go out and play unprepared.

“I was proud, to be honest, I was proud not being able to get out there in my body and prepare for the game and not be taken seriously.”

It’s disrespectful to my colleagues, to all the great athletes and great players in this league,” he continued. “This match is very difficult, it is very difficult to play in the position I play in this league (not working). … Funny, but for those who believe I’m standing here right now in front of you with no work ethic or preparation, I’m honored that you can imagine it, but it’s not. available. Permission denied.”

He insisted he put an “incomprehensible amount of time, blood, sweat and tears” into his job, but did not refer to the contract clause.

However, as CBS points out, Murray has downplayed the need to review the game film in the past. In a recent report, the player was unprepared for the game’s review.

“I’m not one of those guys who would just sit there and watch a movie and kill themselves,” Murray said. I’m not sitting there 24 hours smashing this team and that team and watching every game because I see a lot in my mind.”

However, the AP noted that while there was some drama during the contract negotiations, there was no news of coach Kliff Kingsbury making fun of Murray during game prep.
