Bahrain finished second with 23 medals, 9 gold, 7 silver and 7 bronze. Algeria came in third with 42 medals, 7 gold, 12 silver and 23 bronze. Despite the participation of 56 countries in the Islamic Solidarity Games, there are countries that were pleased with the honor of participating only in this fifth edition, since 11 countries out of 56 participants in the games did not climb the podiums and did not win a single medal. be it bronze, silver or gold. These countries that were not lucky enough to win a single medal are the following: Afghanistan, Sultanate of Brunei, Comoros, Gabon, Guinea, Iraq, Mozambique, Mauritania, Somalia, Suriname and Chad.
