Veteran Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang broke his silence and spoke about the armed robbery he suffered with his wife.
Aubameyang’s house was robbed by an Italian gang of 4 after a match in Valladolid, they tied up the Gabonese and his wife and stole some of the contents of the house, and the player suffered a broken jaw.
Aubameyang wrote his first Instagram post and said, “Hey guys, thanks so much for all the messages I’ve received.”
He continued, “On Sunday night, some armed cowards broke into our house and threatened my family and children just to steal something. They hit me in the jaw, but I will recover as soon as possible.”
He added: “Thank God no one was hurt physically. It’s hard to understand our feelings right now that we’re no longer safe in our home, but as a family we’ll get through this and come back stronger than ever. “
He concluded his message: “Thank you for all the support, it means a lot to us.”
