The Qatari authorities have announced that vaccination against the Corona virus will not be a prerequisite for attending the World Cup events that the country will host between November 20 and December 18, 2022.

And the Qatar Supreme Committee for Shipping and Heritage, which is responsible for organizing the World Cup, said: “The Ministry of Health has lifted quarantine procedures for all travelers arriving in Qatar, whether they are vaccinated or not, regardless of the country of departure.”

She added that in light of the new procedures, fans arriving in Qatar, whether vaccinated or not, must comply with a number of measures, including providing a certificate stating that a PCR test was carried out no more than 48 hours before the date of flight, or a rapid antigen test (negative) up to 24 hours before the date of travel, and children under 6 years of age are excluded from testing for Covid-19.

According to the procedures of the Ministry of Health of Qatar, measures will be taken against them to identify cases of infection with the virus, and sanitary isolation measures will be taken against them.

In addition, all visitors over the age of 18 will be required to download the Ehteraz app on their mobile phones upon arrival in Qatar, and a green screen on the EHTERAZ app confirming that the person is free of the Corona virus will be required upon entering any closed public place.

The measures also included the mandatory wearing of a muzzle in all healthcare facilities and public transport across the country, and must be worn by all visitors aged 18 and over.
