Manchester City defender Kyle Walker is reportedly facing an absence from the England squad for the 2022 World Cup and will miss matches for a period due to a stomach injury.

The Englishman missed Manchester City’s 5-0 win over Copenhagen in the Champions League.

Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola said in his post-match statements that he could not determine the length of time the player would miss.
Guardiola continued: “This is a stomach injury and he will be out for a while. I don’t know how long. I can’t say anything more.”

He confirmed, “Kyle will be away for a while. We need to talk to the doctors. We hope he comes back (before the World Cup) like Calvin Phillips. I know the importance of the World Cup for the players, but to be honest, I don’t know right now.”
It is noteworthy that only 6 weeks are left before the start of the World Cup, which will be held in Qatar.
