Diogo Abreu and Pedro Ferreira, world runner-up in synchronized springboard

The duo formed by Diogo Abreu and Pedro Ferreira won this Saturday the silver medal in the synchronized springboard event at the World Championships, which take place in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Diogo Abreu and Pedro Ferreira were runners-up in the world with 50,900 points, behind the Germans Fabian Vogel and Matthias Pfleiderer (50,950), who won gold, and immediately ahead of the French Florestan Riou and Pierre Gouzou (49,830), who achieved the bronze.

The silver in synchronized springboard joins the one achieved on Thursday in the double team mini-trampoline event, and the gold achieved on Friday in the individual springboard team event.

At the World Trampoline Championships, which ends this Saturday in Sofia, Bulgaria, Portugal is represented by 24 gymnasts, who participate in the trampoline, double mini-trampoline and tumbling competitions.
