“Considering the current level of discharges carried out by the Portuguese fleet of sea bream (‘pagellus bagaraveo‘), in Union waters and international waters of area nine, it seems that the fishing quota allocated to Portugal has been exhausted“, reads a note released today by the DGRM.

Thus, fishing, maintenance on board, transshipment and unloading of sea bream are prohibited from 24:00 on Thursday.

The DGRM is a central service of the direct administration of the State, with administrative autonomy, whose purpose is the development of security and maritime services, the execution of fishing policies and the preservation of resources.
