Russia is ramping up production of fifth-generation fighters

The head of the Russian state company “Rostec” Sergey Chemezov said that the Russian Aerospace Forces will soon receive a new modern fifth generation “Su-57” fighter.

He said, all the fighters are fully prepared. As for the production frequency, it will increase significantly in the future.

Chemezov, who is currently visiting the company “Gagarin”, which produces the Su-57, announced that it is planned to speed up the production of warplanes thanks to the modernization of factory departments and the expansion of production facilities. Until 2028, the government received reservations, as well as by implementing new production methods and purchasing modern equipment.

In the future, an industrial pavilion for the production of Su-57 will be built at the “Gagarin” plant. There will also be new production capacities where mechanical and heat treatment of spare parts will be carried out.

Yury Slyusar, General Manager of the Consolidated Aircraft Company, where the Gagarin factory is located, emphasized that the salaries of workers and operational engineers should be increased in order to implement the new production program that will help attract new staff.

It is worth noting that the “Su-57” multi-role fighter of the fifth generation is dedicated to destroying all types of targets in the air, land and sea. The aircraft flies at supersonic speeds, uses “Steels” technology to hide from enemy air defenses and radars, and uses modern command and navigation devices as well as the latest array of fuselage weapons.

The aircraft recently purchased modern short and medium range “air-to-air” missiles.

One of the characteristics of the “Su-57” is that it is a fighter aircraft that combines the characteristics of an air fighter and an attack aircraft. The Su-57 can use various types of guided and unguided missiles, including short and medium. ranged “air-to-air” missiles and “air-to-ground” missiles. As well as 250, 500, 1500 kg guided aerial bombs such as “Kha-31”, “Kha-35”, “Kha-38”, “Kha-58”, “Kha-59”. The maximum carrying capacity of the aircraft is 10 tons.

The aircraft is equipped with a wireless electronic system that includes a mesh antenna that allows detection and destruction of enemy stealth aircraft from all directions.

And the year 2020 began the production of “Su-57” in batches.
