The new version of CAESAR differs from the versions owned by the Ukrainian army, where the cannon is installed on the platform of the Czech four-axle Tatra T815 truck instead of the French three-axle Renault Trucks Defense Sherpa 5. The “Tatra” engine produces 410 horsepower. As for the gun itself, it is equipped with an automatic restructuring system, in which the number of bullets is increased from 18 to 30 bullets. The weight of the mobile gun is 32,000 kg, and the number of crew is 3.
The production of such self-propelled guns began in 2019, and it turned out that their characteristics did not match what was planned, so the Danes refused to include their troops and took advantage of a window of opportunity to get rid of it. By sending them to Ukraine.
