Agents of the Transportation Security Agency at the John F. Kennedy airport in New York were surprised during baggage controlafter the X-ray machine detected the presence of a cat in one of the bags.
Lisa Farbstein, a spokeswoman for the Transportation Security Agency (TSA), told the Associated Press (AP) agency that a cat was discovered on November 16 inside a suitcase at that airport.
One of the officers on duty that day noticed orange hairs sticking out of a slightly open suitcase.
As the luggage went through the X-ray machine, the TSA agent was surprised to see four legs and a tail on the images, which belonged to a clandestine feline.
“On the plus side, the cat is out of the bag???????? [“On the bright side, the cat’s out of the bag”, em inglês]had revealed the TSA through the social network Twitter.

The passenger was called to the airline counter after this discovery, Lisa Farbstein reported.
The owner of the suitcase explained that the cat belonged to someone else in the house where it was, implying that he did not know the cat was in the suitcase, Farbstein added.
The clandestine cat, identified by the New York Post as “smells“It was later returned to its owner. In statements to this newspaper, the cat’s owner said that the animal must have entered the suitcase of a friend who was visiting.
In addition, she was unaware that her tabby cat was missing until airport officials alerted her.
