The Russian company “Ecolibri” has announced that it is working on a prototype civil aircraft with vertical take-off and landing wings.
In a statement from the company, “Our company’s specialists began to develop Russia’s first civil aircraft with vertical take-off and landing wings. The first stage of the development of aircraft designs in accordance with current aviation standards is currently completed. And tests of these model aircraft systems are continuing separately.”
In the statement, it was stated that the new aircraft will be equipped with a hybrid power system, and its vertical take-off and landing will depend on electric motors designed by Ecolibri experts.
“This product, unlike conventional helicopters, will not have complex mechanisms such as shift panels or gearboxes which will reduce the cost of production, and above all, the new aircraft will be made from manufactured parts in Russia.
