The Russian newspaper reported that cyber attacks targeting Russia accounted for 8.4% of total attacks against countries worldwide. Experts, who recorded such a high rate for the first time about Russia, said that China and India were exposed to more attacks, but were traditionally considered among the most vulnerable to cyber attacks. .
According to data provided by “Kaspersky Lab”, the number of attacks increased by 60-70% last year compared to 2021.
The largest share of attacks (28%) is related to the financial sector, followed by the telecommunications sector (18%), followed by the government sector (14%), followed by the retail sector (12% ).
Many attacks targeted the entertainment and insurance industries (7%) and media (5%).
In addition, in 2022, cyber attacks targeted the education sector and the logistics transport sector.
