Turkey modifies a Pakistani army submarine

Naval News revealed that the Turkish company STM has managed to modify one of the Pakistani army’s military submarines.

In the post on the site, “On Wednesday, January 25, the Turkish company STM announced that it modified and developed the second type of Agosta-90B submarine, and then delivered it to the Pakistan Navy. This French-built submarine was the first submarine built for the Pakistani army and was commissioned in 1999.”

During the modernization process, the submarine’s sonar and periscope were modified, control and data transmission systems, guidance systems, radar and some electronic equipment were modified, and it was equipped with Aselsan and Havelsan systems developed by Turkish companies.

Each of the Agosta-90B submarines is approximately 76 meters long, 6 meters wide and has a water displacement of 2050 tons. These submarines can move at 20 knots, dive to a depth of 350 meters and travel 8500 nautical miles. With SM-39 anti-sea missiles and 533 mm torpedoes.
