Seven districts under yellow alert this Monday and Tuesday due to maritime disturbances

Seven districts of the continent are under yellow alert this Monday and Tuesday due to the forecast of maritime disturbances, according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA).

The notice to the districts of Viana do Castelo, Porto, Lisbon, Leiria, Aveiro, Coimbra and Braga it begins at 9:00 p.m. on Monday and will last until 09:00 a.m. on Tuesday, forecasting waves from the west/northwest of 4 to 4.5 meters.

The yellow warning, the least serious, is issued by the IPMA whenever there is a risk situation for certain activities depending on the weather situation.

According to the information available on the Portuguese Navy website, the seaports of Caminha, Esposende, Vila Praia de Âncora, Póvoa de Varzim and Vila do Conde are closed to all shipping.

The bars of Aveiro, Figueira da Foz and Viana do Castelo are conditioned.
