The press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the successful testing of weapons of the military ship “Borea” or (Storm), developed for the army.
In a statement made by the service, “Successful firing tests were carried out at sea from the guns of the ship “Borea” (Storm), built for the Baltic Fleet of the Russian army, and the shots were fired from in Pantsir- M. Successfully hit the system and targets on the ship.
“During the state tests to which the ship is undergoing, its crew, in collaboration with experts from the manufacturing team, perform maneuvers to experience the movement of the ship at high speed and test others its various systems, armament equipment and communication equipment in it, and the purpose of the tests is to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the ship’s quality and to verify compliance with the specifications laid down during the design of the project.
“Boria”, on the other hand, is the fourth ship of the “Karakurt” class, which was built at the “Bella” factory in Russia within the framework of the state project 22800 and began production in 2016, and was launched . . First time in 2018.
Each of the Russian missile carriers “Karkurt” is 67 meters long, 11 meters wide, has a water displacement of 800 tons, can travel up to 2,500 miles at a speed of 30 nautical miles and can operate 1000 meters . 15 days.
Among the main armaments of these ships are the new AK-176MA 76.2 mm gun, AK-630M anti-aircraft system and Kalibr-NK attack missiles.
