“So, we managed to guarantee the security of supply to towns and companiesthe reduction of energy costs and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions”, he safeguarded.

According to Berta Cabral, Graciosa is an example to follow, being the “model island” and the one with the highest percentage of use of renewable sources in the production of electricity.

The contract now signed is for the assignment of movable property for the assignment of a normal charging point for the Azores Electric Mobility Network and falls within the scope of the Azores Electric Mobility Plan (PMEA), specifically the Measure 6, whose objective is the implementation of the public electric vehicle charging network.

The contract also falls within the scope of Measure 20, which provides for the provision, by the Government of the Azores, of charging points for installation in publicly accessible parking spaces, in public buildings and infrastructures.

Currently, the region has 47 public access charging points for electric vehicles, covering all the municipalities of the Azores, which corresponds to 108 charging outlets connected to MOBI.E.
