The streets of Flores, Alecrim and Ataíde, in Lisbon, were closed to traffic and with restricted pedestrian circulation at 2:30 p.m. this Tuesday due to the instability of a scaffolda municipal civil protection source informed Lusa.
The Municipal Civil Protection Service (SMPC) of the Lisbon City Council was called at 5:22 a.m. due to a scaffolding supporting a renovation project, with temporary coverage, along Rua das Flores to Rua do Alecrim.
“It was found that the scaffolding towers and the covering tarps, on Rua das Flores, gave way and became unstable due to the wind recorded,” adds the same source.
According to the same source, the arrival of resources, specifically cranes, was expected early this Tuesday afternoon. to dismantle the scaffoldingactivated by the contractor responsible for the work, who guarantees the work.
