Expressos network with new connections between the Algarve and several European cities

The Expressos Network will reinforce the international links in the Algarve during the summer, with new regular links, starting in July, between the cities of Rennes and Nantes (France), Brussels (Belgium) and Zurich (Switzerland), announced this second fair the company.

The bus company revealed in a statement that the new connections will begin on July 2, justifying that the Algarve “is a tourist region that generates large flows of people during the season summer”.

New routes with origin and destination in the Algarve will be implemented three times per weekin both directions, with Nantes, Zurich and Brussels during the day and Rennes at night, the company specified.

According to Rede Expressos, it was decided “maintain a promotional campaign rates at 3.95 euros [para viagens nacionais] and allow all express ticket holders too travel free on the VAMUS regional networkin order to improve local mobility during the holidays.”

“The Algarve is an area with a large influx of tourists during the summer period, both national and foreign, which is why Rede Expressos decided […] promote the mobility of all those whose destination is the region, involving our regional partner VAMUS Algarve,” says Carlos Oliveira, general director of Rede Expressos mentioned in the note.

Bus stops in the Algarve with connections to those European cities cover the cities of Pharaoh and the Gago Coutinho airport, Lagos, Portimão, Albufeira Is Tavira.

According to the company, passenger transport by road to Spain and France increased between March and May, more than 20%, compared to the same period in 2023.

The forecasts for the summer already point to an increase of more than 50% in passengers and as of June 17, the company will increase international services by 39%,” the company note concludes.
