Portugal and Spain have an agreement to settle accounts for water extraction in Alqueva, says the Minister of Environment and Energy

A recently broadcast RTP report reported that each of the 40 Spanish Alqueva basins spends, per day, the equivalent of a couple’s consumption in a year without paying a centor to Portugal and that more than 40 million euros are at stake.
