MSNBC’s Wallace: It seems ‘clear’ that violent family extremists are part of a right-wing electoral coalition

MSNBC presenter Nicole Wallace said on Tuesday’s “Deadline” program that it seemed “clear” that local violent extremists were part of a right-wing electoral coalition.

Frank Figliuzzi, NBC News National Security Officer and former FBI Deputy Director, said: “There’s another takeaway from the local terrorism hearing today, and I think the most right-wing stance on domestic terrorism and any act of threat is truly over. To Senator Ted Cruz.

“You know, we have a long hearing today where valuable time was spent discussing the white substitution theory and how people are being radicalized because of it. Then it’s Ted Cruz’s turn, and what does he say about radicalization, violence, radicalization processes? It says three things. Violence is really bad and perpetrators must be held to account. What he implied there and later was that all forms of violence are the same. We don’t need special laws to deal with violence. The man who hit a man on the sidewalk is the same man who hit people in the supermarket because they were black. Violence is violence. This is bad. Second, hate is very bad. We must belittle hate. Number three, here’s the semicolon, that’s important, number three, but we don’t need the federal government to control political ideology. So who is talking about political ideology here? We’re talking about white substitution theory and violence. And it equates it with a political ideology that the government cannot control. This is a message. The white substitution theory became a political ideology. ”

Wallace said, “Frank, if Mr. Whitfield was killed by foreign terrorists, the Democrats and Republicans on the committee would have promised him months. What – I mean, is it clear that domestic violence extremists are an integral part of the electoral rights coalition? I mean, Inang Bayan What is the structural barrier to forgiveness against domestic-violent extremism?”

Figliuzzi said: “We’ve heard sickening things again about important issues. There is a distinct difference in the way local terrorism is treated as a threat because of the Constitution’s First Amendment to freedom of expression. We don’t want to protect ideology – freedom of assembly. “We don’t want to follow it. We can’t get it. It seems that we’re getting away from the whole issue because it looks like we won’t be able to handle this challenge anymore. But you’re absolutely right. Internal threats. We should see this as international terrorism.”
