Natural wines are those that result from the work of small producers who reject any chemical or industrial product and method throughout their production process. A sensible approach, including organic wine and wine from biodynamic agriculture, also in line with the principles of environmental and social responsibility.
A controversial topic, which divides opinions and often places the defenders of the conventional on opposite sides of the barricade, compared to those who prefer this naturalistic approach. Controversies aside, whether natural, biodynamic or organic, the wine culture that gives rise to the product with little or no intervention, well established in other European capitals, has arrived in Lisbon and is here to stay. Graça, Santos, Estrela or Arroios are some of the neighborhoods where you can delve into this universe — a universe that, whether we like it or not, wears shirts with flowers, wears a cap and wears shorts: it divests itself of formalities, says goodbye to rigidity and gives the wine universe a more alternative and relaxed character.
