Having Saramago as inspiration: November 16, 2022 marks the centenary of the Portuguese Nobel Prize, more than enough reason to see this exhibition by the painter Agostinho Santos, curated by the writer Valter Hugo Mãe. There are more than 30 paintings and a large-scale installation created from medicine containers, to address the Saramaguian theme, inspired by the books “Ensaio sobre a Cegueira”, “Memorial do Convento” and “Intermitências da Morte”. The exhibition that evokes Saramago revisits older works by Agostinho Santos, from 2005/2006, and presents more recent works, including acrylics, canvas, paper, cardboard and graphite.

The XXI Feira do Mel returns to the Pedras Salgadas Thermal Park and in addition to the protagonist, darling, the event also has live music, with performances by Toy and Viva Samba Lisboa, craft stalls and several obligatory stops to taste the best of the Trás -Gastronomy of os-Montes. For lovers of street art: the Alameda Shop & Spot proves that a shopping center can also be a true art gallery. “A Tua Arte” is the name of the project that brought to the space works created by Portuguese names such as Odeith, Contra, The Caver, Kruella D’Enfer, Third and also the Low Class Club trio, whose work is distributed in various corners, from the patio area, on the 4th floor, up to the escalators, also passing through the car park. In this exhibition it is possible to observe the various techniques for creating graffiti, from the most realistic structures to the harmony of colors that resemble a more childish style, passing through plastic to sculptures made with waste. One of the highlights of the script is the work of The Caver, a street artist, tattoo artist, illustrator and graphic designer who signs a colorful piece of more than 20 meters, exposed on one of the walls of the parking lot.

Coyo has just launched new modes to celebrate summer, available only during August. The sardine taco combines the fish with roasted peppers, cabbage, onion chips, pico de gallo, jalapeño and cilantro aioli, in an obvious fusion between Mexican and Portuguese cultures, while the octopus taco is stuffed with octopus tentacles. confit, beetroot, avocado, romesco sauce and coriander. Like most of the other 12 tacos on the menu, both options are based on artisan gluten-free corn tortillas, made daily in-house, as well as guacamole, burritos, salads, quesadillas or traditional churros.
