Virginia Giuffre, the woman who accused Prince Andrew of sexually assaulting her while she was still a minor, has signed a contract for a memoir, according to the Telegraph. The British newspaper reveals that the rights could reach millions of dollars.

Prince André and Virgin Giuffre reached an agreement in mid-February 2022, ending the case against them in a New York court. The amount agreed between the two will have been 12 million pounds (14.3 million euros), an amount that was negotiated over 10 days. The prince, for his part, was free to go to court accused of the crimes of sexual abuse and did not admit his guilt.

In the agreement, however, there was a clause that prohibited Giuffre from publicly repeating the accusations leveled against the prince for a year. It is therefore expected that, in his memories, he will not explore the agreement with the Duke of York, but his entire experience with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.

The news comes at a time when the Duke of York wants to reverse this agreement, since Giuffre withdrew another complaint of sexual abuse, this time against the American lawyer Alan Dershowitz, and again with Epstein as an intermediary. In it, Giuffre admitted that she “maybe made a mistake” when she claimed to have been abused by the man when she was a teenager.

Virginia Giuffre is currently 39 years old and lives in Australia with her husband and three children and lawyers have not confirmed the details of the book contract, according to The Telegraph.

Last year, the case pitting Giuffre against André threatened to overshadow Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee, which was celebrated in June. This year, if this book revives the memory of what happened, the subject could overshadow the coronation of Carlos III, scheduled for May 6.
