In response, the judiciary issued a sentence in absentia in which the defendant was sentenced to 6 months in prison, and the plaintiff appealed to the Ras Al Khaimah Civil Court to appeal against the decision and demand that the defendant pay him 50 thousand dirhams. In addition to 1000 dirhams, the cost of the car that he bought from him and for which he did not receive the price, the cost of transporting the car from Dubai to Ras Al Khaimah, and the compensation of 10 thousand dirhams for material and moral damage as a result thereof, is the responsibility of the person who purchased the vehicle and signed the contract on his behalf. It is decided that he will be subject to 9% statutory interest, up to all payments, costs, fees and attorney’s fees, in his own cause.
The plaintiff also continued that he offered his car for sale on social media, that the defendant and his wife were interested in buying the car by contacting him, and that they agreed to send him the defendant’s ID and send the car place of delivery for the purpose of transferring the agreed quantity.
And while waiting for the confirmation message that the amount has been transferred to his account, it was decided to wait until the amount is deposited and transferred.
They joined them at a cafe near the venue and waited for about half an hour until he received a message to deposit money into his account, whereupon the accused left the cafe with his car keys and after a brief conversation, his wife. He wanted to go to the toilet and he did not come back and when the plaintiff looked for them, he did not come. . He found them there and searched for him more than 20 times.
The competent judiciary continues to follow the case to make its final decision.
