From delicate sweets to specialty coffees: Gleba opens new store and partners with pastry chef Juliana Penteado

Gleba continues to expand its brand across the city with another store. The new 2.0 bakery opened its doors on Avenida António Augusto Aguiar in Lisbon, and in addition to Gleba’s usual offering, it also features a specialty café, a dining room and a shop run by pastry chef Juliana Penteado.

Open every day of the week from 7:00 to 20:30, the new Gleba is collaborating with the judge of the Masterchef Portugal programme, offering its delicate sweets in the shop. Available for consumption in the space, the chef’s fresh pastries with essential oils include three fixed sweets – raspberry, verbena and pistachio tart, hazelnut and mandarin choux praline and vanilla millefeuille – and five sweets that will change every week, to focus on the seasonality of the ingredients.

In addition to the usual bakery and pastry products from Gleba, there is also the food offer from Juliana Penteano, with sweet and savoury biscuits, granola, fleur de sel and flavoured honey or even jams.

Among the new features is also the dining area, where customers can try some of the store’s products – such as biscuits, sweet rolls, cheese breads, canelés, croissants or brioches – and enjoy Sgt. Martinho’s coffee specialty: there is espresso, café con leche, cappuccino or americano.
