Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi indicated that “we must be careful and vigilant regarding the infiltration of Takfiri and Salafi ideology into the country.”

During a meeting with a crowd of Sunni scholars, Raisi noted that “British Shiites and American Sunnis are two sides of the same coin, and both oppose unity in the Islamic world”, emphasizing that “Shiite and Sunni unity represents a strategy for the Islamic Republic of Iran, not a tactical issue.”

Raisi also drew attention to the government’s serious efforts to address the vital problems of the people, stating that “the government pays attention to the concerns of the people, which are transferred to the clergy, and tries to solve these problems, and changing the way state support is allocated is not all justice, but rather a step towards to make the economic situation fairer.”

He believed that “most of the subsidized hard currency served corruption and special benefits, and in fact there was a waste of the country’s resources, as well as a lack of support from citizens, therefore, in order to prevent the continuation of this situation, it was decided to provide support for the last episode to provide products and stakeholders. The main principle, i.e. citizens and consumers, instead of the first link, i.e. importers.”
