To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of the live-action “Scooby-Doo” movie, Warner Bros. and Airbnb have made the Mystery Machine van available to fans for overnight stays.
the dream had cost of 20 dollars per night (about 19 euros) and the availability of this special accommodation quickly sold out, CNN reported.
Actor Matthew Lillard, who will host the guests, announced on the Airbnb platform: “It’s been 20 years since I played Shaggy (TM) in the first live-action Scooby-Doo film from Warner Bros., but his spirit has been with me. since then. To celebrate, I’m taking you back to 2002 with a totally cool stay at the gang’s beloved Mystery Machine.” And he added an important fact: “monsters are not included”.
The van will be parked off the coast of Malibu, Southern California, for three overnight stays on June 24, 25 and 26.
Guests will be greeted virtually by Matthew Lillard. Then, they can listen to the latest Sugar Ray album on a portable CD player, bask in the glow of a lava lamp, wear Shaggy’s signature shell necklace, solve mystery games, and of course rewatch Scooby the Movie! -Doo.
The meals are already guaranteed and will be Shaggy and Scooby-Doo’s favorite foods: hot dogs and eggplant burgers.
Allied to this experience Airbnb will make a donation to Five Acresa child and family services agency providing safety and well-being for children in foster care in Southern California.
