The Ministry launched an information campaign under the slogan “No Waste of Water” to inform citizens about the need to reduce water losses.
Morocco is experiencing the worst drought in recent decades in its history, as the country’s rainfall has not averaged between 10.5mm and 308mm since early September 2021 to date, representing an estimated deficit. by 48 percent locally compared to the average rainfall for the same period last year.
Experts warn of the dire consequences of climate change for the Maghreb region in general and the Kingdom of Morocco in particular, as it is located in one of the world’s driest regions, which will increasingly be witnessed by severe events such as droughts and floods.
