US President Joe Biden arrived in Tel Aviv, the capital of Israel, on Wednesday, which is the first stop of his trip to the Middle East.
Joe Biden’s plane landed at Ben Gurion Airport, where he was welcomed by Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid.
Before Biden’s trip to Israel, US national security adviser Jake Sullivan said: The White House wants a US consulate for the Palestinians in East Jerusalem.
And Sullivan added on Air Force One: Our position is that we want a consulate in East Jerusalem, and of course this requires dealing with the Israeli government, and it also requires dealing with the Palestinian leadership, and we will continue to do so. Do it during the flight.”

Upon Biden’s arrival, the Israeli president welcomed Biden at Ben-Gurion Airport, affirming that “President Biden’s visit shows the depth of bilateral relations.”
He added: President Biden has always supported Israel and we will talk about the security risks caused by Iran, and Biden’s trip is a peace trip from Israel to Saudi Arabia.
The President of Israel added: The people of Israel welcome you with open arms and your visit shows the depth of our relations.
Lapid, in turn, told Biden: “Israel has become a very developed country, and we will discuss building a new security and economic structure in the Middle East.”
Biden expressed his satisfaction with the meeting with Israel and emphasized the “rooted relations between America and Israel from generation to generation”.
“I am honored to be among friends to visit the independent Jewish state of Israel,” he said.
He added: Our relations with Israel are stronger today than in the past and the United States is committed to Israel’s security.
He continued: We will cooperate with Israel to strengthen Israel’s defense system, including the Iron Dome.
He pointed out that the best solution to achieve peace is to create two countries.
