Today Friday, the Syndicate of Syrian Artists announced the death of actor Bassam Lotfi Abu Ghazaleh, one of the most prominent founders of the syndicate, at the age of 82.

Bassam Lotfi is considered one of the first generation of Syrian actors, who played a role in the launch of Syrian drama and participated in dozens of works and series that gained wide popularity in Arabic, including “The Diary of a General Manager”, “The End of One”. . Brave man, “brothers of the soil” and “Palestinian alienation”.
Lotfi, who was born in the Palestinian city of Tulkarm in 1940 and moved to Syria with his family after the 1948 war, was known as the head of Syrian drama and was one of the most prominent voices that reached the listeners of Damascus Radio during the period. was accompanied by various “Reign of Justice” program for more than 30 years.
In his youth, Lotfi helped establish the National Theater of Syria and the National Theater of Palestine, and in his career, he produced about 70 works of art between theater, television, cinema, and radio.
Dozens of Syrian actors and artists mourned him, and Syrian director Mohammad Zuhair Rajab wrote: “It is painful to leave, one of our figures is leaving today.”
This late artist is married and the father of Iyas Abu Ghazaleh is a Syrian actor.
